At the age of 28, he married there, Isabel Bristol, on November 17, 1814. Joseph was probably born in Mason Co., KY or en route there, on June 10, 1786, a son of Arthur Chenoweth and his first wife, Elizabeth Williams, and moved with his parents when they settled in Ross Co., OH, which later became Pike Co.
